Immerse Yourself in a Waterman's World:
Tangier Island

Crabber

Car-less and carefree, Tangier is one of the last remaining authentic Chesapeake Bay Islands. Experience this fading centuries-old trade on the Honorary Waterman's Tour. Once aboard have fun pulling crab pots, taking in island lore and exploring the island's crab "farms" where the sought after delicacies -soft shell crab delicacies are raised. Later feast on these and other fresh from the tides seafood at the island's home-style restaurants including Fisherman's Corner Restaurant featured in Southern Living Magazine,  and Hilda Crockett's where folks have been known to fly-in just
for their crab cakes. Explore forgotten places with self-Crab Boatguided water trails -kayaks and maps free, or wander around the island on the historic walking tour. Come twilight rock on the cottage porches of the Bay View Inn and
listen to the creatures of the marsh serenade the island.

Note: Tangier is a dry island but bringing alcohol is allowed. Please be discrete.
